You will have the opportunity to work with a team of leading professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment.Assistance to project managers and engineers in the functional and detailed design of municipal infrastructure related to water supply, sewers, roads, land development site servicing, storm water management and waste managementCollaboration with multidisciplinary team members including engineers, planners, scientists, and technical and administrative support staffContribution to business development activities including client need research, preparation of project proposals and presentationsContributions to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committeesBusiness travel to other Dillon offices upon requestA degree in civil engineeringRegistration as an engineer-in-training with the Professional Engineers of British Columbia, or be eligible within six monthsOver two years’ work experience in engineering, although entry level staff will also be consideredExperience in engineering for municipalities and/or the land development industry will be considered an assetKnowledge of the functional and detailed design of integrated municipal infrastructure including roads, sewers and watermainsUnderstanding of the range of project design and implementation activities including development of design drawings and reports, contract document preparation, tendering, and contract administrationProficient in the use of current AutoCAD software; working knowledge of Civil 3D/Land Desktop software will be considered an assetKnowledge of relevant municipal/provincial engineering standards and regulatory requirementsFamiliarity with the BC Building Code as it relates to site grading and servicing designFamiliarity with MMCD and CCDC documents relating to Stipulated Price and Unit Price contracts.Strong oral and written communication, organization and interpersonal skillsDillon offers competitive salaries, health benefits and a generous retirement savings plan.#LI-DNP
