Position Title: CFO (Client Opportunity)Location: Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova ScotiaBDO CFO and Controller Services is seeking professional CFO’s to fill upcoming full-time positions with any one of our incredible clients. When clients call looking for assistance with recruiting a CFO, we typically search our network of CFO’s to find the right fit. We consistently exceed client expectations by providing extraordinary people within the finance and accounting fields. Some opportunities are open to remote work with occasional in-person office meetings. The BDO Dartmouth CFO and Controller Services group provides world class, in house, finance and accounting services to clients of all sizes in any industry. We provide a full suite of financial solutions to our clients, including third- party recruiting services for finance and accounting roles, outsourcing of accounting and finance functions (CFO, Controller, and Bookkeeper for hire), and business advisory services. Responsibilities typically include:Overseeing all financial functions of the organization – tax, treasury, financial reporting, capital structure, and risk management.Working with the senior executive team of the company to develop the company’s strategic vision and manage the corporate budgeting and forecasting process.Supervising and mentoring accounting and finance team.Overseeing reporting of financial information to all stakeholders.Arranging financing where needed, ongoing management of bank and investor relationships.Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Understanding, implementing and monitoring all financial control systems.Ad hoc as requiredRequirements:Accounting Designation10 + years of progressive accounting experience5 + years of senior management and leadership experience, including involvement in strategic planningNetworking and business development experienceHigh level of written and oral communications and presentation skillsSuperior interpersonal and leadership skillsAbility to work in a fast paced, results driven environmentAbility to work independently and on a teamAd hoc To apply, please submit your resume to Yvonne Kelly, Recruitment Manager, ykelly@bdo.ca#LI-E51
