Job Description

We are looking for an Inside Sales with a successful track record of selling to both Small Businesses and the Enterprise Level Accounts. As a Business Development Manager, you will be selling Logistics Solutions to small to enterprise business. This position includes a base salary of $55K to $60K and commission, first OTE is $80K and other perks. 

 

THE PRODUCT/SERVICE

You will be selling all types of trucking services locally, nationally and internationally (Mexico to Canada).

THE LOCATION
Toronto – North York Area

 

REPORTING TO:

Sales Manager

 

THE POSITION
You will be selling trucking/logistics services of all types locally, nationally and internationally. You will be generating sales from new clients and re-establishing relationships with non-active clients. You will primarily focus on acquiring new accounts and building long-term relationships. You will have a strong support staff that will take care of all the detail work post your quote/sale. This is primarily an inside sales role with external client meetings as needed.

 

PRODUCT & SALES CYCLE

  • The average order size is $250 – $7000.
  • Sales cycle from presentation to close of new accounts: 10 – 30 days.

 

TYPICAL DAY

  • Prospecting, cold calling (60 – 80 calls a day) – Inside Sales/Outbound Calling
  • Presenting / Closing – Inside/Outside
  • Building and growing your client base revenues.
  • Sales CRM Reporting

 

SUPPORT & TRAINING

  • Primarily Product and Process training.
  • On the Job / No formal process
  • Mentorship/Coaching from President.
  • Minimal Sales Training.
  • Within one week you will be productive.
  • The training process will give you the ability to be on the phone making calls by day 3

  

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND

  • Minimum of 2-years of sales success.
  • Experience selling/brokering trucking logistics is beneficial.

 

EDUCATION

  • Post-secondary, or equivalent professional experience.

 

COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary – $55,000 – $60,000 commensurate with experience.
  • Commission paid on every sale.
  • Total earnings if quotas achieved:
  • 1st year – $80,000+
  • 2nd year – $105,000 +
