Position Summary: The incumbent is responsible for promoting, selling and providing service to the Financial Advisors and Distribution Alliance representatives. The Business Development Manager will seek out new business opportunities and build positive relationships with Advisors and Dealers within the firms distribution channels. Responsibilities: Sells and promotes the firms products in order to meet sales objectives. Develops and submits an annual sales plan to achieve objectives. Deploys optimal strategies in partnership with their inside sales colleague to develop and close business opportunity and grow their region. Meets and exceeds activity targets to include office meetings, presentations, client events, industry events, tradeshows etc. Establishes contacts with targeted external intermediaries to promote and sell products and services. Identify market opportunities and pursue desired new prospects within the assigned territory. Liaise with Head Office and Advisors to resolve customer services issues. Solves, in collaboration with internal stakeholders, any problems that could have an effect on customer retention and profitability. Works closely with National Distribution team to identify sales opportunities and close business. Responds to client calls promptly and provide personalized services. Provides input to the development of new products and services and ongoing initiatives. Occasional participation with committees or internal activities, and may be called upon to represent Business Development with various organizations stakeholders. Keeps up-to-date with current legislation and with the companys policies and procedures. Executes general tasks at the request of the manager, or that may be required by the function. Represents the firm by developing and maintaining strong and ongoing business relationships in his/her market Compensation: 85k base salary + commission
