Roles and Responsibilities

We are currently looking for an BD and Communications Coordinator to provide daily support to the firmwide Business Development and the Communications teams. This position based in the Montréal office. The coordinator will be expected to perform the following duties:

  • BD & Marketing: Coordinate the updating of industry and practice group marketing materials (fact sheets, brochures, presentations), ensuring materials are kept up to date. Help draft presentation materials Events/webinars: Support the BD managers and specialists in evaluating event/webinar opportunities consistent with the groups’ strategic plans for the groups’ lawyers to get in front of clients and prospects, and assisting in implementation as needed, working with the firm’s event team. Help maintain and update the CRM and CMS
  • Communications: Assist in the coordination and dissemination of internal and external firmwide communications (eg. bulletins, C-level communications, award announcements etc) including formatting, punctuation and grammar in both English and French. Create and manage various templates in Word and Outlook for frequently used communications. Provide some light writing in the form of drafting social media posts, email templates and internal communications. Assist in the regular updating of firm website through CMS platform including updating experience items, website copy. Assist graphic designers with tasks such as image resizing, document formatting and document updates.
  • Administration: Light administrative duties including agenda preparation, travel coordination, expense reporting, invoice management, client checks and meeting coordination.
  • When required, provide assistance in carrying out special projects.
  • Required Qualifications

  • College diploma or University Studies Certificate in Corporate Communications, Public Relations Management, Marketing (or related field);
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar position;
  • Perfectly fluent in French and English, both oral and written;
  • Advanced knowledge of document production across various platforms, with high level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint);
  • Experience using InDesign, SharePoint and Sitecore would be beneficial;
  • Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and discretion;
  • Excellent sense of customer service; strong interpersonal skills and team spirit;
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable interacting with people at all corporate levels;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills for working on multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Detail oriented and thorough;
  • Autonomous, resourceful and comfortable with taking initiative;
