TheBookkeeperwill assist in managing day to day accounting and finance requirements.The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, understands the importance of and has experience with bookkeeping in an operations focused organization, is reliable and committed to providing excellent service to internal Canco stakeholders. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of month end packages; Analyze system data and figures to ensure information is captured correctly; Reconcile general ledger accounts; File PST and GST; Manage WCB reporting; Utilize exceptional analytical and critical thinking ability to innovate and resolve various challenges; Contribute to long-term shortening of overall cycle times; Regularly liaise and foster relationships with management from the various Canco locations; and Other tasks and responsibilities as needed. Requirements 3 5 years progressive bookkeeping experience in a related role; Proven accounting experience in an operations centered organization; Ability to understand and work within the unique spectrum of accounting requirements specific to this industry; Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a variety of stakeholders; Sound working and technical knowledge of accounting principles, practices and applications; Professional written and verbal communication skills; High level of analytical, critical and logical thinking; Affinity to learn and embrace various software platforms; Proficient skills in Microsoft Office 365 and advanced knowledge of Excel; Ability and desire to thrive in a collaborative department within a growing organization.
