The : Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Vice President, Logistics will leverage visionary leadership and an innovation mindset to successfully lead Bison Transport’s expanding $200M Logistics business unit. This senior business leader will be responsible for driving the growth, strategy and execution of the core Logistics mandate by leveraging and building on the considerable success of Bison’s established Logistics platform. Leadership will stretch beyond the traditional day-to-day business management, including full P& L responsibility, to theexecution of an aggressive growth strategy that takes Bison Logistics to the next level. This dynamic role will have accountability and direct operating responsibility for the logistics portfolio and its team of 75 people, which includes: Providing service excellence to its slate of customers within target markets and emerging lines of business, Strengthening top-line revenue growth by establishing and growing true 3PL capability and offering while innovating and progressing the digital offering through a renewed development road map and critical third-party relationships; and, Sustaining and developing a network of strategic partner carriers, in conjunction with the development and execution of strategic talent acquisition and long-term talent management, are critical to business success. The Candidate: We seek a strategic thinker with a progressive entrepreneurial mindset who is passionate about people and business growth to become the next key member of the Bison Transport Executive Leadership Team. The ideal candidate is an experienced 3PL Leader who possesses excellent interpersonal skills and has the desire to mentor and lead with vision and care. Further qualifications include, but are not limited to: Experience in a progressive 3PL environment recognized for executional and operational excellence. Executive level, results oriented leader with a track record for creating and fostering a high-performance diverse & inclusive culture, focused on engagement, accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. A Leader of leaders who delivers results through managing people in addition to managing financial and operating decisions. Process oriented and a technology forward thinker and executor. An advocate and active applier of LEAN or related continuous improvement business systems including systems/technological savvy. Skilled at integrating business plans with talent plans and makes informed, thoughtful talent decisions in a timely manner. Develops strategic talent pipelines to ensure effective succession and enables growth. Experience in establishing executive level strategic plans for an enterprise level business. Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of successful execution on complex business strategies. Strong collaboration, communication and negotiation skills as exemplified by a win-win reputation. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities combined with the courage to innovate and the energy to execute. Strong organizational skills: time management, project planning, multi-tasking. Experience supporting Merger & Acquisition projects. Must be willing to travel and/or relocate to one of Bison’s primary locations, as required.
