The Inspector plays a leading role in ensuring that the Pipeline Project is carried out correctly and that all construction activities comply with the undertakings to which JSG Professional Services ULC and our Inspectors are committed. The intent of all the inspection activities is to monitor, control, and ensure the minimization of construction practices or procedures which could have adverse effects on the safety of the work areas, the environment, or the final technical performance requirements of the pipeline system. This involves foresight and quick communicative action by all of the Inspectors involved. Such action must be conveyed to the Inspector’s immediate supervisor and also to the Contractor’s immediate supervisor on-site. The recognition of the need for early implementation of mitigation and corrective measures is a key function and responsibility of all Inspectors.
