Located on the shores of beautiful Lake Rosseau, we specialize in summer camp, school trips, group retreats and leadership development for all ages. We exist to inspire youth to shape their world.

Job Title:  Associate Marketing & Sales Manager

Reports to:  Director, Sales & Marketing

Employment Status:  Full-Time 

Location: September to May: Work-from home (occasional meetings at Head Office) / Mid June-August: This position moves to the resort in Muskoka (room and board provided)

Job Purpose

To support the Director of Sales & Marketing by developing and executing the marketing and sales plans for Summer Camp, Schools & Groups and Recruitment. This person is accountable for reaching revenue and guest attendance targets by researching and developing marketing opportunities and campaigns, creating sales strategies, meeting internal creative services needs on time and on budget, and may manage seasonal staff. 

Key Job Functions

Marketing:

  • Create and achieve Marketing & Sales annual objectives and targets by contributing to the creation of strategic marketing and sales plans, preparing and completing action plans and resolving problems
  • Manage the creative service agency who project manages marketing assets for all SBMUs and departments, this includes creation and communication of work-back schedules for all departments to ensure deadlines are met
  • Propose new marketing opportunities by identifying consumer needs, defining market, competitor benchmarking, and actively learning and implementing new marketing trends
  • Manage and execute event marketing strategy
  • Work collaboratively with Content Manager, Guest Relations Manager, HR and Muskoka Woods Youth Foundation to ensure all communication is aligned
  • Project Management:

  • Manage digital advertising, email marketing and social media agency
  • Manage all creative projects and resources including designers (internal & external), videographers, copywriters, printers and other agency relationships
  • Create, manage, and maintain the marketing communications calendar
  • Develop and execute campaign workbacks and assets
  • Manage assigned budgets
  • Source, price and manage fulfillment of promotional and related sale items
  • Sales & Analytics:

  • Research, propose, develop and execute existing and new sales strategies
  • Achieve related sales targets
  • Analyze, track and report sales and marketing KPIs
  • Measure campaign successes and produce sales reports and presentations on results as required
  • Perform outbound sales and customer research calls
  • Participate in sales efforts at conferences, exhibitions and parent presentations

  • Attend and participate in department meetings as well as both internal and external corporate events as required (Town Halls, Monday Huddles, etc.)
  • Work on special projects and contribute ideas to the growth of the organization
  • Qualifications/Experience Required

  • Related university or college degree
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in marketing, sales and project management
  • Skillful in digital advertising (primarily Facebook ads), email marketing and social media and how to measure effectiveness of each
  • Understanding of traditional advertising is considered an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); online platforms such as Google Drive, Mailchimp and Sendible, and trends in popular social media channels
  • Proficient in navigating CRM / database software. Salesforce experience is considered an asset
  • Design software (Adobe Acrobat Writer, Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark, video editing software), HTML & CMS considered an asset
  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings & weekends at various locations within the GTA and at the resort
  • Valid G driver’s license is an asset
  • Skills and Attributes Required
