Associate Marketing Manager
Our client is a leading manufacturing company for cosmetics, pharma, & cleaning products.
We are seeking an ambitious, highly motivated, organized and results-driven Associate Marketing Manager to join our exciting team and work in a professional, yet entrepreneurial and fast-paced office environment.
Working in concord.
Salary range is $75-85/year plus 5% bonus.
Must have Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) marketing experience
This person will be accountable for the support, coordination and execution of various marketing activities that support the SVP Marketing & extended Marketing team throughout North America. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of marketing concepts, category management and experience in the field. The candidatewill work cross-functionally, influencing and supporting multiple stakeholders in the delivery of highly effective marketing programs based on deep consumer understanding in order to deliver the various brands’ annual business plans.
SVP Global Marketing & Team Support (60%):
Provide daily support to assist in coordination of activities across the Business Units; assist in development of presentations; coordinate product samples, meeting agendas, travel; be liaison with key constituents Marketing Plan Development and Execution Support (as required)
support Marketing & Creative Services team colleagues in the strategic development and execution of annual Marketing plans including new product launches, advertising and consumer promotions, experiential, digital and social media plans, e-commerce and public relations.
Work with internal and external partners to develop and execute new product packaging, advertising, press materials, website and digital updates and sales collateral materials that support key marketing initiatives.
Budget Management – Manage budget information provided through marketing team for monthly tracking of overall marketing budget.
Support SVP in managing overall responsibilities of licensing agreements including monthly reports, business reviews, investigation of potential new opportunities, etc.
Global Relationship Management
Establish and maintain regular and frequent dialogue with U.S. and International marketing colleagues to leverage brand and project harmonization.
Additional responsibilities include:Conducting thorough analysis of innovation, promotions and customer-specific programs for future optimization
Understanding item and brand activities driving positive/negative performance
Assist in preparation for various trade and consumer events
Market share and competitive tracking, including causal and trend analysis
Projects involving data from multiple sources that need to be organized, reconciled, and synthesized in order to analyze and identify actionable insights and business recommendations
Develop and manage volumetric planning tools to support ongoing innovation & rationalization decisions
Create regularly scheduled reports including analysis and commentary to uncover insights to all levels of the organization and customers
Assist in developing presentation materials to support business and account objectives
Support the Project Management Office (PMO) efforts to effectively manage project timelines and budgets aligned to strategic and brand objectives
Business Analytics (30%)
The incumbent will also be responsible for summarizing monthly Nielsen, IRI, etc data reports and share tracking. They will also work closely with 3rd party syndicated data sources for monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating performance of key categories and also work with these vendors to identify ways to consolidate data sources:
Use ACNielsen, Business objects and other data sources provide thorough analysis of business performance that can be used to develop key recommendations
Track industry and category trends (Nielsen) identifying key trends and making recommendations based on analysis
Provide stakeholders with information and reports from various sources – regular consumer reports, syndicated data, specific requests, updates, etc.
Monthly review of reports, preparation of business review documents
Strategic Planning (10%)
Support SVP and Marketing Team in development of annual and long range strategic new product plans with the Marketing team, including market research, promotion support and product development.
Evaluate financial feasibility and establishing/achieving key financial goals including sales and spending.
Research and provide costing for activities in order to make choices that will achieve the objectives.
Business Knowledge / Consumer Focus
a. Demonstrated experience in successfully developing and executing on innovative, broad reaching brand marketing programs. Understands the role of consumer (and shopper) insights in the development of portfolio strategies and can effectively translate into strong planning. Leverages consumer (and shopper) research to make the best decisions.
Strong Analytical Skills
a. Comfortable working with numbers, drawing conclusions and insight from in-market data, and comprehending P&L statements. Uses disciplined approaches to define problems, identify causes and generate solutions.
Strong communication and Leadership skills
a. Persuading/influencing skills demonstrated primarily through management presentations to gain partner and team commitment/alignment to programs. Ability to lead and develop talented marketing professionals.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Undergraduate Business degree; MBA considered an asset.
2 years marketing experience.
Consumer Packaged goods experience a must
