Job Description

Lead the Business Development initiatives for Enterprise clients and meet/exceed revenue targets (from lead generation to closure) in analytics from retailers, brands, distributors and market research firms within the corporate framework driven by the values of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute go to market strategy which is in-line with the overall company’s
  • Translate the sales strategies into an overall commercial strategy and delivery plan that will exceed P&L, market share and profitability targets.
  • Lead and build the sales organization – Define the sales structure to support
  • Partner with the CEO in creating pathway for Year-on-Year growth by co-owning the ‘Big Picture’ strategy, to move up the ‘Value chain’ and for moving towards non-linear revenue growth.
  • Partner with the CFO in Annual Forecasts and Budgeting based on the chosen ‘Predictable Revenue Strategy.
  • Partner with the ‘Marketing Head’ in their initiatives pertaining to preparation of marketing materials including press releases, white papers, attending events, conferences, etc.
  • Measure sales effectiveness and performance and be accountable for the ROI on sales investments.
  • Performs sales activities on major accounts and negotiates sales price and discounts in consultation with the Customers.
  • Drive revenue through new client acquisition.
  • Following up on leads from the Inside Sales team
  • Full cycle in the field sales from qualifying, demonstrations and closing business
  • Understand and analyze Client needs, and offer technology driven solutions accordingly
  • Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams.
  • Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company’s products.
  • Collaborate with sales team to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to develop event and PR plans for region
  • Interpret short- and long-term effects on sales strategies in operating profit.
  • Develop areas of new account sales and growth, sales of emerging products and multi-product sales, profitability.
  • Ensure profitable growth for the organization by preparing and implementing revenue plans in line with the overall business plans
  • Direct, maintain, review and revise topline and bottom-line budgets
  • Develop sustainable and trustworthy relations at strategic levels with key decision makers in client organizations
  • Create and implement regular channels for communication with existing and prospective clients and internal partners at all levels
  • Participate in developing proposals to increase business from existing/prospective clients in collaboration with the Operations team
  • Contribute and participate in developing client solutions, products and service offerings towards achieving organization goal
  • Set up detailed account review process and a client satisfaction system
  • Participate in account reviews and periodically review client satisfaction and initiate corrective actions as necessary and ensure successful closure of issues to ensure company is regularly meeting and exceeding client expectations
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Manage the operating budget and ensure revenue targets are met/exceeded
  • Define and set sales processes, sales metrics and review mechanisms for sales cycle
  • Ensure renewal of existing contracts with possibilities of long-term sustainable relationships Participate/coordinate in the RFP process, projects, contracts, etc. to ensure profitable business
  • Ensure creation of a robust sales pipeline towards meeting short term and long term
  • Effectively utilize CRM tools towards providing Sales MIS
  • Ensure existing service offerings are continuously upgraded with innovative solutions that are market oriented
  • Benchmark functional performance across the company/with clients/competitors
  • Develop and proactively review and redefine the team structure to meet / exceed business objectives
  • Participate in selection process to ensure the right talent is selected in a timely manner.
  • Develop, groom and coach team members so that they are able to perform better / as per the business objectives
  • Build and maintain the positive and influencing relationship with the executive
  • Make sure all team members have a clear idea of what is expected of them.
  • Make sure all team members' performance is reviewed periodically and clear feedback is provided on a continuous basis.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree with preference for MBA or equivalent or graduate degree with relevant experience
  • 4 years minimum in data analytics sales
  • 2 years minimum experience in sales in North American (must have US market experience)
  • Experience with sales in global markets preferred

SKILLS

  • Proficient with Excel & PowerPoint/Keynote
  • Proficient with sales processes /methodologies
  • Expert with level knowledge of analytics and big data technology
