As a risk management analyst, you assist with analysis, research and development activities for overseeing risk management.

You analyze and help diagnose issues and situations related to your field. You provide opinions in accordance with the rules of your discipline and help develop recommendations and implementation plans. You develop work tools, methods and processes. Your projects and initiatives require comprehensive knowledge of your line of work.

You offer ideas. You help solve problems through analysis and by drawing on your overall understanding of the line of business. You leverage your ability to manage complex situations. You interact with stakeholders working in complementary fields.

You provide professional support in your field of expertise for your unit, dedicated clientele and partners.

General Information on the Position

More specifically, as a data science analyst, you take part in developing credit risk management tracking models and tools and in developing the data required for this tracking.

Main responsibilities

  • Identify, input, analyze and interpret data to support management decision-making and risk management and supervision control processes. Make appropriate recommendations.

  • Contribute to the development of credit risk management tracking models and tools.

  • Contribute to development of data required for credit risk management tracking models and tools.

  • Analyze risks. Draft various reports and recommendations. Provide advisory support in implementing these recommendations.

  • Help prepare and propose action plans to address issues in accordance with generally accepted rules and parameters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience

  • Master's degree or other type of graduate degree (an asset)

  • For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required

Specific knowledge

  • Knowledge of data and report operationalization

  • Knowledge of traditional statistical methodologies and machine learning

  • Proficiency with the following programming languages: SAS, Python and R

  • Skills in writing in-depth documentation, summaries and presentations that are tailored to the target audience

  • Knowledge of open source computer systems (an asset)

  • Intermediate spoken and written English skills
