Working at Nutrien will provide you an opportunity to help us Feed the Future, and grow your career.Reporting to the Senior Director, Valuation & Financial Structuring.What you will do: Collect and manage market and industry dataUpdate and maintain financial models of companies under a watching briefAnalyze financial statements and information to perform complex and detailed financial modeling and valuation analysis of potential acquisitions/divestituresSupport all areas of transactional business development including research, opportunity evaluation, due diligence, and closingPrepare presentations providing an overview of opportunities for executive leadershipTake a proactive approach to the tasks at hand and respond quickly to the needs of the businessCommunicate with tact and diplomacy, presents clear and concise analytically driven insights with the understanding of the need for confidentialityWork effectively within a small highly accountable team; display a flexible “can do” attitude and willingness to help out where requiredManage to deadlines on multiple projects of varying complexitiesBe enthusiastic, inquisitive and have a strong desire to learnWhat you will bring: University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics / Agricultural EconomicsEnrollment in or completion of CFA designation desirable but not mandatoryIdeally 2-5 years’ experience in investment banking, corporate development, private equity or an analytical/data focused roleExperience with financial databases (Capital IQ, Bloomberg, etc.) is considered an assetEffective oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational and time management skillsHigh degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office – particularly Excel and financial modellingAbility to interpret financial statements and financial informationAre you a good match?
