Dauphin Consumers Co-op is part of the Co-operative Retailing System, and a successful multi-million-dollar retail business – they are seeking their next Agro Division Manager to join the team. The Agro Division Manager will oversee the operation of retail stores and assigned commodities, motivating the team in achieving sales and service targets.

As the Agro Division Manager, you are responsible for developing the strategic plan and overseeing the operations of the Agro team at the Dauphin and Ste. Rose locations.


  • Be accountable for the management and operation of the Agro Division including the business plan, budgets, and fiscal targets – collaborating with senior leadership.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the Dauphin and Ste. Rose location managers and team.
  • Analyze existing and anticipated marketing conditions to make recommendations in the retail’s marketing plan and strategies.
  • Lead the development and implementation of buying and retention of pricing plans.
  • Assist in developing and executing a Customer Experience Management (CEM) strategy.
  • Responsible for the overall development, performance management, and recruitment of the management team.
  • Ensure effective training in the areas of customer service, product knowledge, inventory control, and merchandising.
  • Preferred Experience and Skill Set:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • Experience in agriculture, ideally with crop inputs, crop supplies.
  • A history of building relationships with producers, farming communities, and agricultural customers.
  • Experience with B2B sales and a commitment and passion for excellent customer service.
  • Experience leading and providing professional developing opportunities for your team.
  • A background in strategic planning and a passion and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Current awareness and understanding of trends impacting the retail industry.
  • Analysis of operational performance and the development of strategies to capitalize.
  • Experience building a collaborative and team-oriented culture.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders.
