The Position

· Work in cross-functional teams to support quality education and child protection programming in crisis, humanitarian, and other emergency contexts.

· Support the development of proposals and other program funding submissions to major institutional and other donors.

· Plan and collaborate on quality education and child protection monitoring and evaluation frameworks, incorporating best practices from both sectors.

· Provide technical advice to country offices and their partners to influence education and child protection approaches, strategies, programs and policies in crisis and complex emergency contexts.

· Provide training and capacity building to Plan International Canada and Country Office teams and partners on education and child protection programming.

· Contribute to the development and dissemination of approaches, policies, innovations and best practices in education and child protection.

What does success look like?

· Providing expert advice and technical input in the development of education and child protection and integrated proposals, with a focus on crisis and other emergency contexts.

· Providing technical advice to Plan International Canada supported programs, to ensure quality implementation, monitoring and evaluation.

· Training Plan International Canada and Country Offices teams to ensure quality implementation of education and protection programs.

· Contributing to research initiatives, building strategic partnerships and promoting gender-transformative approaches to education and child protection.

· Managing the review of data and learning from monitoring and evaluation systems to track the quality of education and child protection projects.

· Developing knowledge products to contribute to global evidence on ‘what works’ in education and child protection in crisis and other emergency contexts.

As our ideal candidate you will have:

· Une bonne compréhension des évolutions mondiales en matière d’éducation et de protection de l’enfance, en particulier dans les contextes de crise et d’urgence.

· Une expérience dans l’application des perspectives de genre, d’équité et de droits de l’homme à tous les domaines de la programmation.

· Une aptitude pour la recherche et l’analyse de données et une réussite avérée dans la rédaction de propositions de financement, en anglais et en français.

· Une expérience éprouvée dans la prestation d’assistance technique aux programmes d’éducation et de protection de l’enfance, en particulier dans les pays francophones.

· Une expérience dans le soutien aux processus de planification de développement et humanitaire, à l’éducation formelle et non formelle et aux réponses des systèmes de protection dans les situations d’urgence et de développement.

· Un style de travail flexible et adaptable, ouvert à la collaboration avec divers professionnels, sachant se déployer dans une culture de travail en évolution rapide.

· Une passion pour un travail axé sur la mission et des valeurs personnelles en accord avec celles de l’organisation Plan International Canada.

· Une capacité à voyager 30 % par an pour une durée maximale de deux semaines à la fois ; une maîtrise de l’anglais et du français d’autre(s) langue(s) étant un atout).
