We are seeking a seasoned administrative assistant with several of experience to fill in for a term position for a period of up to 18 months with a large Vancouver employer.  You will be providing administrative support to several Operations, Safety and Planning teams and will work with the department members in support of departmental and organizational objectives. 

 

The successful individual is customer service focused, with good interpersonal and communication skills. You must have an excellent command of the English language with the ability to communicate tactfully and positively with all contacts, both internal and external while demonstrating sensitivity to cultural differences.  Diplomacy and discretion are key qualities for this individual.  It is also important that you are a team player with excellent organizational skills and flexibility to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities. Demonstration of initiative, the ability to work independently and the maintenance of accurate and timely work output are essential.

 

Some unique aspects of the position include:

  • You should have some experience with a unionized shift payroll system (payroll/accounting background would be an asset)
  • Experience with preparing meeting minutes and action items
  • Proficiency not only with standard MS Office programs but experience with remote work platforms such as MS Teams, Webex and Zoom)
  • The successful candidate must be able to obtain Security Clearance in order to have access to restricted information and locations

 

Candidates should also possess strong, accurate keyboarding skills (60 wpm), and at least 3-5 years’ administrative assistance experience.

 

The position is currently vacant and starts as soon as possible.

 

Salary $74k per annum.
