High Output Sports Canada Inc is a privately held company located on Charlotte Road in North Vancouver with an opening for an Intermediate Accountant / Payroll reporting to the Controller.   We have been operating for 30+ years, distributing sporting goods to retail shops across Canada.

This is a full-cycle accounting role which will assist with data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.  This role would be ideal for a CPA student in their 3rd level.

Responsibilities

Process invoices and payments for both A/P & A/R

Expense & Credit card reconciliations

Process payroll for hourly and salary employees

Calculate sales commissions

Monitor customer accounts for missed or delayed payment

Vendor & Customer account reconciliations – research and resolve payment discrepancies

Ability to process transactions in multi-currency and between related companies

Assist with inventory control and investigate discrepancies

Provide support to the Controller on financial analysis and reporting, especially at year-end

Requirements

A minimum of 2 years A/P, A/R and payroll experience

Ability to allocate time effectively, work under pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
Self-driven, ethical, and ability to set and achieve goals
Fluent in English – Excellent communication skills (both verbal & written)

Excellent MS Office skills including Excel
Knowledge of Great Plains or similar ERP system is considered an asset but not a requirement
