Working at Nutrien will provide you an opportunity to help us Feed the Future, and grow your career.Located at our office in South Calgary, and reporting to the Senior Accountant Fixed Assets, this position oversees and supports overall fixed assets and capitalization requirements as well as disclosure for our N,P,K and Corporate segments.This is a temporary position for 18 months.What you will do:Create, Review, and post journal entries during monthly close process as neededReview Assets under construction (AUC) general ledger accounts by Authority for Expenditure (AFE) project numbers for policy conformityPrepare the monthly capital spending report for managementAnalyze monthly additions and retirements Assist in reconciling the asset management system to the general ledger systemWork with the business to set-up fixed assets for new locationsAssist with completion of monthly and quarterly reporting from corporate, external and internal auditors, and the tax departmentCollaborate with team members and departments to find efficiencies in processesPrepare Fixed Asset continuities and schedulesPerform other duties and projects as assignedTroubleshoot issues and work with plant Finance to resolveWhat you will bring:A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from a recognized institutionA minimum of 5 years’ relevant business experience is requiredCPA designationStrong knowledge of IFRSSAP experience is desiredFixed Asset experience is preferredOracle experience is an assetHighly detail orientedSelf-Motivated and able to prioritize and work well with competing deadlinesMature attitude and ability to deal effectively in a team environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholdersStrong integrity and business ethicsStrong desire for knowledge and improvementProficient computer skills, including Advanced Microsoft ExcelAre you a good match?
