Account Manager – Prescription Safety Eyewear
Compensation Salary: $65-75k plus
Bonus: Quarterly bonus for achieving growth targets, new clients, etc.
Expenses: All expenses paid (auto, cell phone, travel, etc.)
Benefits: full benefits available after 3 months.
A Toronto based company with a long history of manufacturing, importing, and distributing a wide variety of eyecare products, now has an opening for an Account Manager to develop and maintain relationships with organizations requiring Safety Eyewear. Working in coordination with our General Manager, National Sales Manager and Customer Service Department, this person will play a key role in organizing and carrying out the company’s sales and marketing initiatives.
The role of the account manager will be to prospect for new leads and present vision care plans to any company that may require prescription safety eyewear for their employees.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Assisting and supporting the Company in various sales & marketing tasks as required.
Prospect for new leads. Pursue new client leads.
Connecting with leads via telephone and meetings requiring car travel.
Contacting new and existing customers to assess their individual needs, and provide superior customer service and satisfaction while building a strong relationship with client.
Maintaining a current and accurate knowledge of products, pricing and industry trends.
Coordinating other miscellaneous sales and marketing tasks, including organizing sales presentations, participating in trade-shows, updating products/pricing databases, maintaining accurate account and contact information, providing support and communication between the General Manager, Customer Service, and Sales Representative, and organizing employee training sessions.
Perform other duties as necessary to achieve the goals and objectives of the company.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Proven experience in sales.
Discipline to make dozens of connections per day (telephone, meetings, email, etc.)
Record all connections made on CRM or similar application. Including the use of calendar to schedule re-connections.
Ability to effectively organize and execute multiple tasks at the same time.
A friendly, professional and enthusiastic attitude, comfortable with interacting with clients both over the phone and in person.
Ability to build relationship with clients.
Strong communication skills, with a talent for working with and listening to the needs of a variety of individuals, including fellow employees, company departments, and clients.
Experience with spectacle (ophthalmic) lenses an asset. (opticians are welcome)
Energy, passion, and tenacity are a must.
