Builds & executes a business plan for key account development, capital sales growth and aftermarket win-back, relating to the complete comminution product portfolioCloses opportunities with the delegated/targeted accounts or obtains detailed information on lost opportunities.Manage relationships, expectations and needs of key accounts, to support the growth of equipment and aftermarketPrepares (with support of AE) and presents major bid proposals for capital projects that may include turn-key packaged comminution solutionsCompletes sizing, selection and quotations for stock/one-off OE requestsSupport Hard Rock Mining team in working with EPCs to grow our presence in greenfield comminution projectsVisit Key Mining accounts with Hard Rock Mining team to seek out optimization and expansion opportunities that will drive the sale of Comminution EquipmentSupport clients onsite with aftermarket inventory needs; and communicates with aftermarket director/operations on changes to our stocking requirementsInterfaces with Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Engineering to assure timely customer solutions and product deliveryDevelop and implement product demonstrations and training programs for both, external clients and internal account managers.Participates in the marketing and advertising of Weir products in press releases, local advertisements, trade show activity, etcMonitors industry and market trends, as it relates to the Comminution sector, and contribute to collaborative product development effortsOther duties as assignedHealth & Safety: Key Responsibilities & Requirements:Able to work in a manner that ensures the safety of themselves and othersAble to demonstrate compliance to company safety procedures and legal obligationsRecognize and report and resolve hazards identifiedConfidence and ability to intervene on practices deemed to be unsafeEngage and promote a zero harm cultureBe aware of physical limitations based upon job requirementsEducation and/or Experience:A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science OR equivalent technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant technical sales / account management experience OR a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET / AScT) diploma with a minimum of 5 years of relevant technical sales experience. Candidates with equivalent education and/or experience may also be considered.Language Skills:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Mathematical Skills:Above average numerical skills to understand, interpret and troubleshoot technical and commercial aspects of product sales and marketing. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Computer Skills:The incumbent should have knowledge of the following software: Microsoft Windows / Office. Experience or exposure to ERP software is considered an asset.Other Qualifications:Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must present professionalism in appearance and work ethic. Must be able work independently, exercising judgment and initiative, remaining flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.Physical Demands:The employee must be able to sit, stand, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Up to 30% travel required for this role.Work Environment:Environment may vary from moderate (office/warehouse/light traffic environment) to loud (customer sites, manufacturing, mining equipment). Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required during customer/project site visits.
