Job detailsJob 1of 1ApplySend to friendSave to cartView similar jobsReq ID9532BRPosition TitleWarehouse ManagerNo. of Positions1Geographic LocationGuelph, Ontario, CanadaFacilitySkyjack Guelph Plant 1DepartmentMaterialsJob DescriptionManages all warehouse activities for Skyjack’s distribution facility in Kitchener.Responsibilities:Ensures the receipt, coordination, and safety of goods coming through the warehouse.Oversees the shipments of all DC finished goods to Skyjack customers.Ensures that orders arrive and are dispatched with quality, accuracy, are on time to the appropriate destinations and in the expected quantities.Supports the manufacturing facilities in parts warehousing and inter-facility logisticsDevelops and maintains shunt schedules to satisfy facility demandsOversees Refit (light assembly) targets and attainmentAllocates resources and coordinates containment rework activities at the facility.Improves, maintains and reports on Key Warehouse Performance Indicators that include:Inventory AccuracyShipping and Receiving AccuracyWait TimeOrder fulfillment timesRefit attainmentDevelops and maintains schedules for all warehouse activities and personnel.Completes tasks as assigned from Monthly Workplace Inspections and ensures compliance to all health and safety policies.Supervisory responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training new employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving concerns.Communicates and coordinates with building management facility repairs and/or suggested improvements.Perform other duties/projects as assigned.QualificationsPost-secondary education in Supply Chain Management or related experience.Minimum five to seven years of experience in the field of warehousing and distribution for internal manufacturing and external customers.Understands the supply chain in manufacturing and JIT delivery systems to inter-plantsGood understanding of inventory replenishment systems, Kanban, pulls systems, MRP and independent ordering systems.Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. Develop and maintain good customer and vendor relationships.Experience with lift truck, warehouse storage equipment, and toolsUnderstanding of propelled equipment and mechanical aptitude an asset.Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures involved in manufacturing and warehousing.Ability to use various computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Leads and directs the work of others.Performs a variety of complicated tasks.Ability to work in fast paced environment.A wide degree of creativity, initiative and latitude is required.Linamar is committed to promoting accessible recruitment as outlined in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
