Reporting To: Manager, Training and Documentation Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-time Posting Date: (10/26/2018) Closing Date: (11/09/2018) Hours of Work: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Office Location: Downtown Toronto Salary Highly competitive compensation package which Includes, base salary, bonus and benefits. Overview: The Training and Documentation Department oversees the training and development for more than 900 employees across the company. The team provides job specific training and communications through the intranet, in-class training, soft-skill training, web-based tutorials, peer training, and self-directed learning assignments. The Department is responsible for supporting multiple divisions in the business including Residential Administration, Residential Underwriting, Sales and Commercial divisions nationally. The Training and Documentation Specialist is responsible for preparing and maintaining policies and procedures on the company intranet and the content management system, and communicating all changes through the department news boards. Also responsible for the design, development and maintenance of training materials. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Support theResidential Underwriting divisions. Liaise with Subject Matter Experts, Business Analysts, Training Specialists, and Management to gather content and understand department policies, processes, and procedures to document Track and record procedural changes for content inventory Maintain standards and update relevant sections of the company Intranet (Arthur) Publish content in various methods including online and print Maintain presentation and training materials using the MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), Arthur, Review my eLearning and Snag-It. Complete needs assessments and job task analysis to determine training needs Implement training solutions in a variety of formats including instructor-led, self-study and peer-to-peer training Evaluate the effectiveness of training solutions Create training design plans Create and maintain materials which oversee the translation of documentation through an external translation company Facilitation may be required Special Projects as assigned by management Skills and Attributes: Strong working knowledge of general mortgage lending guidelines with a focus on commercial lending and First National’s Merlin and/or Optimus system is required. Post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience preferably in a technical writing or learning related discipline an asset. Experience in a financial services environment with a specific focus on mortgages as an asset Ability to work in a high volume, multi-demand environment Strong attention to detail to provide quality analyses and proofreading/editing on completed deliverables Intermediate to high competency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); natural ability to learn new technologies/systems Strong communication skills, both written and verbal 5+ years of mortgage related experience preferred Excellent customer service skills, with a high aptitude for building rapport Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and handle changing priorities in a timely fashion.
