We are currently seeking a Team Lead – Solid Waste Management to join our Solid Waste Practice in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. You will provide senior technical support, training and mentoring to our team of engineers working on solid waste management projects across Saskatchewan including Solid Waste Master Plans, Landfill Gas Collection Systems, landfill design and construction, site assessments and D&R plans, leachate management systems and solid waste planning projects. In addition, you will be completing business development and marketing activities to build our project portfolio in Saskatchewan. Tetra Tech offers its clients cradle to cradle services in the field of Solid Waste Management. This role and projects in Saskatchewan will be supported by senior engineers and managers from other Tetra Tech offices. Responsibilies •Developing and analyzing integrated waste management systems for public and private sector clients •Designing and engineering for landfills including layout, liner systems, leachate collection and treatment systems, surface water management systems, landfill covers and LFG collection systems •Development of landfill gas derived renewable energy projects •Development of integrated design and operations / master plans •Designing and engineering for Compost Facilities, Transfer Stations and Material Recovery Facilities •Providing operational guidance for landfills and waste transfer stations •Monitoring and compliance of waste management facilities •Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities including assessing requests for proposals, writing project proposals and integrating and selling Tetra Tech Canada’s value proposition to our valued current and prospective clients •Planning projects, developing accurate scopes of work, cost estimates, project plans, schedules and deliverables to execute high quality projects on time and on budget •Creating project plans and implementing sub-consultant and sub-contractor agreements •Mentoring and coaching junior project teams including field and technical staff •Participating in business development activities for the Waste Management Practice •Project Management and managing client relationships Explore a different kind of company – one that offers exciting challenges and fulfilling rewards.
