This includes involvement in the full product life cycle of these electronic and opto-mechanical systems from concept, design, analysis and testing to production implementation and customer support.Responsibilities:Manage the design and verification process for assigned projectsReview customer requirements,specifications,statement of work andrelated data to determine engineering requirementsDevelop system & subsystem specifications ensuring traceabilityto customer requirementsDevelopment of vendor specificationsDevelopment of verification plans,verification matrix and approve test plans andproceduresDevelop system level architecture andblock diagramsDevelop andmaintain system and subsystem level budgets anderror analysisDevelop and maintain material and parts usage lists andensure all parts and materials conform to systemrequirementsDevelop system andsubsystem level interface control documentsReview andapprove test plans, procedures andreports toensure all deliverables conform to customer requirementsEnsure conformance to all Optech andcustomer quality assurance requirements such as: safety,reliability,maintainability,and failuremodes and effects analysisPrepare,reviewand approveall deliverable technical data including analysis,technical notes,drawings,specifications and otherrelated technical project dataConduct technical reviewsas appropriateSupport program design reviews,project status reviews,planning activitiesBachelor Degreein Electrical or Systems Engineeringor equivalentMinimum 3-5years of experience with opto-electronic systemsCoding/prototyping/simulation using MATLAB, Python or equivalentGeometric and radiometric camera calibration, as applied in photogrammetric applicationsAbility to analyze and solve problems,work with minimal supervisionExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenExcellent interpersonal skills to interact within a highly diverse, multidisciplinary teamCustomer oriented,committed,team player,professional attitude,highly motivated,initiative,goal andaction oriented,ability to work under pressureHighly Desirable AttributesExperience with systems engineering process- requirements development, concept of operations, validation and verification, concept definitionLeadership qualities, excel in team situations- interacting with engineers of varied disciplines, coordinate contributionsand organize results into system designSelf-starter–has demonstratedinitiativein achieving goals, performs with minimum of supervisionCapablein multiple disciplines– has demonstrated a working knowledge of more than one engineering discipline such as optical, mechanical, electronics,software, etc.Awareness ofvarious different agency standards– RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, IEC, etc.
