Young-Davidson Mine, located in Matachewan, Ontario, approximately 60 km west of Kirkland Lake is hiring experienced Water Treatment Plant Operators (SAGR). More information on Alamos Gold Inc. and the Young-Davidson Mine can be found on our website at www.alamosgold.comDate Posted: October 16, 2018 Closing Date: October 28, 2018 Reporting to the Shift Supervisor the Water Treatment Plant Operators will be responsible for the operation, monitoring, troubleshooting and reporting for the Water Treatment plant. As well as ensuring the Submerged Attached Growth Reactor (SAGR) system meets the limits set out in Environmental Compliance. Duties will include but will not be limited to: making changes in plant as specified by the Environmental Department, addition of chemicals as required, in house verification of certain parameters (pH, turbidity) for QA/QC purposes and Calibrating and cleaning probes. Preference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications. Related experience and education as a Water Treatment Plant Operator. Experience with SAGR systemsStrong safety focus.Self motivated ability to work aloneAbility to handle regular physical activity.
