Learn more at www.aramark.com or connect with us on Facebook and Twitter.Senior PAYROLL Analyst Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Senior Payroll Analyst is responsible for overseeing accurate and timely payroll results to approximately 15,000 Canadian-based employees. Working with the Payroll team, the Senior Payroll Analyst effectively administers the day-to-day payroll operations of a complex multi-provincial, multi union organization to ensure timely and accurate completion of different payrolls every pay period representing various lines of business.Main Responsibilities include:Provides guidance and support to other Payroll team members relating to the full payroll processResponsible for the day to day payroll process of the in-house payroll system, ensures the timely and accurate delivery of payroll servicesAssist with data integrity of PR/HR data Knowledge of customized payroll calculations relating to union collective agreements and assist with new ratified agreements (letters of instructions) relating to payroll changesWork with the Payroll Manager to ensure compliance with legislation for the deduction reconciliations, remittance of all statutory deductions and employee benefits to reduce organizational risk of non-complianceLeads the year-end preparation including year-end tape filing requirementsAssist with required reports to all government agencies, annual reconciliations and preparation of year-end tax forms (T4s/T4As, & RL1/RL2) Assist location managers with ad hoc reports to provide payroll related information Partner with Payroll Accounting to ensure completion of all payroll general ledger account monthly reconciliations and fiscal year endEnsure high standards of confidentiality are practiced by the payroll staffLead special projects, and new initiatives related to payrollIdentify and implement process improvements to engage best practice gained from researchQualifications and Competencies:Ultimate Software (UltiPro) work experience a definite asset or equivalent in-house payroll systemPost-secondary education in a related discipline (payroll, business, accounting etc) or acombination of education and relevant experienceCompletion or enrollment in Canadian Payroll Association certificate program:Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) is a definite assetMinimum of 5+ years of experience working in a complex payroll environment includingmultiple union collective agreementsProven knowledge of all Federal and Provincial payroll related legislation anemployment standardsDemonstrated problem solving skills surrounding complex issues,analytical and decisionmaking abilityAn understanding of financial reporting and internal control framework auditProficient in Income Tax calculations and formulasStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environmentExcellent Computer skills, proficient with Word and strong advance Excel skills (vlookup)Please note all candidates considered for hire will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.
