One of Canada’s largest and most trusted companies is looking for a Social Media Specialist in Montreal, to be a part of the Strategic Customer Marketing’s Digital Marketing team. Our group operates like a start-up within one of Canada’s largest insurance and financial institutions. We have collaborative teams in London, Toronto, Winnipeg and Montreal including Digital Customer Experience, Innovation, Data and Analytics, and Digital Marketing. We are looking for a bright and energetic digital storyteller who will act as a Social Media Specialist across The Great-West Life, Canada Life and London Life lines of business. Reporting to the Leader, Social Media, the social media specialist is responsible for helping develop and execute the social media strategy for the organization. What you’ll do:Represent and enhance our brands via multiple social channels including Twitter, Facebook, Linked In, Instagram, Blogs, etc. Write on-brand copy for social media that’s original, informative and thought provoking that aligns with content strategy and KPIsMaintain monthly editorial calendarsFacilitate and respond to customer service inquiries through social channelsWork with digital designers and animators to develop infographics and other creative assetsPublish, track, analyze and measure the success of posts and develop dashboard reports to share with stakeholdersWith a high degree of collaboration, work with various marketing and communications teams and several other internal stakeholders to establish priorities and secure approvalsKeep up with current trends in social media and advise on best practicesQualifications & Experience:Bilingual in French and English is requiredPost-secondary degree in Communications, journalism, media and public relations or equivalent experienceExperience working with social media publishing and measurement tools, including the ability to understand & interpret social media analytics to drive strategySelf-motivated, organized and able to multi-task and prioritize jobs to meet deadlinesMust enjoy working in a fast-paced team environmentStrong project management and attention to detailProven track record of growing social media communities through multiple channels.
