We are looking for SharePoint and Web Application Administrator to join our team in either Ottawa or Calgary.In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day 2nd level support of Colliers Project Leaders’ MS SharePoint farm and related web-based applications. The Administrator works with development contractors and vendors to implement and support SharePoint solutions and other web-based applications that are used by Colliers Project Leaders personnel. You will work as a member of a collaborative team and support the change control process for MS Dynamics AX by promoting code developed by external contractors from development to production environments.Who you areYou are an effective communicator with a strong sense of urgency. You have a keen eye for system design and are known to bring new ideas to the table.You Project a professional image and have ability to communicate effectively and present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.What you will do as a SharePoint and Web Application Administrator:Maintain and administer Microsoft SharePoint farm, including daily monitoring, troubleshooting, patching and configuration changes.Identify and resolve SharePoint, IIS, OS and application level problems (debug issues) and complex end-user problemsWork collaboratively as a member of a project team with external contractors and vendors to plan and execute changes, additions and upgrades to the SharePoint farm and MS SQL servers.Promote code and configuration changes that are developed by external contractors across staging and production environments using change management processes.Maintain site security, permissions and security groups in an Active Directory integrated environment.Respond to 2nd level HelpDesk tickets related to SharePoint and other IIS/SQL based applications.Provide coaching and technical advice to HelpDesk personnel and usersAuthor documents and diagrams related to the design and implementation of the SharePoint and other IIS/SQL based applicationsPrepare and contribute to change requests, test scripts, change logs and other change control related documentation.Evaluating and analyzing SharePoint requirements and estimating work effort as part of the change control processJob Pre-requisites and Required Qualifications:A bachelor’s degree, community college degree or certification in computer related field, or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience as an application administrator or developerMinimum of 4 years of experience administrating SharePoint 2010 or SharePoint 2016 and familiarity with both.Practical experience managing SharePoint permission in an Acive Directory integrated environment.Experienced in application related MS SQL Server management including common tasks such as backing up and restoring MS SQL databases, database user and permission management, running prepared TSQL scripts and queries.Familiar with front-end development languages/technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and other frameworks) ASP.NET web development using MS Visual Studio.Experience installing and administrating MS SQL SSRS and SSASA firm understanding of software change management process and testing processExperience with MS Dynamics AX, Dynamics CRM or other Dynamics family products is desired but not requiredExperience with the integration of on-premise Active Directory with Microsoft 365 cloud offerings using tools such as SharePoint 365 and Azure AD Connect is desired but not required
