LogMeIn is looking for a Systems Engineer to join our GoToConference team. You will take part in the design and development of a video conferencing solution running on a mini computer. A primary focus is to ensure high robustness and performance of the system. You will have to work with containers, Linux systems and video conferencing hardware. You will also be responsible to design tools and backend services to manage devices on client sites, including remote monitoring of device health as well as automated deployments and updates. You will be based in one of our Québec offices (Québec, Montréal, or Rimouski) and will collaborate closely with colleagues in Karlsruhe, Dresden, Orem, San Francisco and more.In this role, you should be a team player with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills. As a team, we are responsible for the automated testing, application design, choice of tools, deployment, operation, and lifecycle of our applications.Design and develop the computer system that will host the GoToConference product to deliver the best video conferencing experience to our customers;Explore new hardware possibilities that will empower the system;Collaborate with product owners and user experience designers to deliver products while meeting team deadlines;Assist the team with evaluating the adoption of the latest and greatest technologies providing value to our developers and customers.Computer Engineering or Computer Science bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience;5+ years of engineering experience in the software industry, preferably with distributed networked systems;A deep understanding of Linux/Unix and Docker;Experience designing, implementing, deploying, and operating your own software and systems in a demanding production environment;Experience working in an agile environment with CI/CD process.LogMeIn simplifies how people connect with each other and the world around them to drive meaningful interactions, deepen relationships, and create better outcomes for individuals and businesses.
