Reporting To: Network Manager, IT Full-Time/Part-Time: Full-Time Posting Date: (10/25/2018) Closing Date: (11/08/2018) Hours of Work: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Office Location: Downtown Toronto Salary Highly competitive compensation package which Includes, base salary, bonus and benefits. Overview: Reporting to the Network Manager, the Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for the setup, maintenance and support of the company’s backend systems and network infrastructure to ensure high levels of availability, performance and security to support the business operations. To meet these needs, this candidate may install hardware and software in data centers and cloud-based environment, provide routine monitoring and troubleshooting, maintain systems build-books, change requests and security policies, and offer advanced support for the Technical Support team. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Setup, manage and support of Windows, Linux and cloud-based servers Configure, manage and support of on-premise email systems and Office365 Install, configure, manage and support of storage area networking hardware and software Setup, manage, maintain and support of VMware virtualization environment Install, configure and support of network switches, routers, firewalls, load balancer, VPN and tokens authentication appliances Ability to troubleshoot LAN and WAN connectivity and performance issues, and provide quick resolution to hardware and software problems on servers Setup, maintain and support of data replication and synchronization between data centers Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical supports/operations issues Skills and Attributes: Advanced knowledge working and management of Windows Server operating systems and applications Advanced hands-on knowledge of VMware servers and desktops installations and configurations Have an understanding and experience working with cloud-based services and storage Education/Certification/Experience Requirements: Must have minimum of 8 years hands-on practical experience in IT system administration and support Post-secondary educationcompleted Current Microsoft and VMware certifications or working towards will be a definite asset Hands-on knowledge of Storage Area Networking installations and configurations Hands-on experience configuring and managing with various network switches, firewalls, load balancers, remote VPN access with dual factor token authentications Experience working with data backup and replication software Experience working with email archiving software Experience working with servers and endpoints anti-virus, anti-malware, device control and data loss protection software Experience working with network monitoring and performance analysis software Strong knowledge working with PowerShell scripting Experience working with SharePoint Online Core Competencies for all First National Employees: Client Focus—we have an unwavering commitment for service excellence Team Orientation—we work together efficiently and are proud of our culture Respect for Others—we value the diversity of our people and we promote a respectful workplace Working Environment and Physical Demands Analysis: Office environment Periods of high volume with tight timelines Long periods of stationary position/sitting Prolonged periods of repetitive movement (i.e. using a keyboard and mouse) Long periods of time in viewing a computer screen Multi tasking may include speaking to customers on a telephone call while looking up information on a computer program How to Apply: If you are ready to join First National’s dynamic team in Delivering Service, Creating Solutions, and Building Success, we invite you to apply on-line at: We value a diverse workforce and invite all interested and qualified applicants to apply.
