Reporting to the Department Manager, Civil, Structural & Architectural, this position is located in our Saskatoon, SK office. If you have a successful track record and thrive on challenges in a fast paced environment, this is the opportunity for you.Key Responsibilities Providing structural design and technical support including calculations, weld design, design drawing review, field investigations, and solutions for the construction or repair of industrial buildings, facilities, and servicesWriting specifications, contract documents, and proposals.Reviewing project documents prior to issue for scope and presentation, including checking for technical accuracy.Developing and maintaining positive, sustainable client relationships.Coordinating and working with project team members.Provide mentoring, guidance and technical expertise to the project team.Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in structural design.Registered or have the ability to register as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in the province of Saskatchewan.Broad scope knowledge of structural designs and an understanding of industry codes, standards, and construction methods.Material design experience, which may include experience in the use of structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, and/or wood.Minimum 10 years’ experience working on mining and/or heavy industrial projects is an asset.Ability to handle multiple tasks.Strong interpersonal and communication skill.Team-oriented and a creative thinkerDemonstrates cooperation and decision-making abilities.Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
