A key element of this strategy is transforming the customer experience.What we’re building:An important part of putting our customers at the centre is ensuring that we provide quality IT services and support to the business which arms them with the tools required to better service our customers.The Network Engineering team is responsible for creating a long term network strategy that focus of transforming the network infrastructure to target further improvements, efficiencies and automation.An integral part of becoming a customer centric organization, is ensuring we provide reliable and agile IT services, which equips our business partners with the tools required to service our customers effectivelyThis network connects a primary data center with multiple Canadian head offices and hundreds of regional offices. Our technology base includes but not limited to:Cisco Nexus Switching & Routing (BGP, OSPF)Cisco/Checkpoint Firewall and VPNInternet technologies (DNS, SMTP, OSPF, BGP)Radware & F5 Load balancers Aruba/Cisco Wireless Monitoring tools and Packet analytics (Solarwinds, Prime, Wireshark, Netscout)Cisco ACI, Tufin and other SDN networking toolsFamiliarity with WAN technologies and protocols (MPLS, VPLS, Switched Ethernet, IPSEC, GRE) What you’ll do:Design, build and deploy the enterprise wide network following the industry standard design and support best practicesDocumentation of operational and recovery proceduresProvide technology leadership to business partners and IS staffProvide technical expertise to projects and support teams with emphasis on constructing solutions through integration of infrastructure and applications including 3rd party productsSupport the development of implementation strategies and plans including identification of technical work packages, dependencies, estimates and schedulesSupport for a 7×24 network environment. Will require evening and weekend work to support and accommodate after hours migration changes / support. Who you are:Degree/diploma in technology related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience5-10 years of experience designing, implementing or operating Network technology infrastructureCisco, Checkpoint, Aruba, F5, and Radware training/certification would be an assetExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProven ability of following ITIL best practices on incident management, break-fix, permanent resolution, problem management and change managementSolid communications and interpersonal skillsProven ability to write effective documentation that is clear and meaningfulAbility to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to script/automate Network tasks would be an assetEffective internal consulting skills with a strong customer service orientationAttention to detail and effective planning and organizational skillsAbility to troubleshoot complex network issues and perform capacity planningExceptional in facilitating change management and driving resultsFosters and provides visible key leadership across the organizationWhat really sets you apart:CCIE / Security / Design / Checkpoint / F5 advanced certificationsPrevious experience working on large magnitude complex projectsAbility to independently manage workload and schedule required changes to meet deliverable deadlines, while being diligent with timely updates and escalating as requiredAccreditation in Project Management such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or ITIL equivalent credentialsWhat you’ll like about working here:We offer a challenging, team-oriented work environment, competitive income and benefits, and opportunities for professional and personal development and growth.
