KUBRA is looking for a skilled SeniorManager, Cyber Security Defense Operations to join and lead the Blue Team in managing and enhancing security processes and technologies to identify, deter, investigate and remediate security events.As a Senior Manager, Cyber Security Defense Operations, reporting directly to the VP, Information Security and Risk Management, you will be a key player in preserving, enhancing and validating the confidentiality, integrity and availability of KUBRA’s systems and services for increased operational effectiveness.Be the first line of defense by modeling and leading the Blue Team efforts in preserving the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all KUBRA systems and services – this includes leading the team in managing the end-point security process and technologies including: Anti-Virus, Host Based IPS, EDR, and Advanced Threat Protection featuresServe as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on threat intelligence and conduct research on emerging threats, and identify and deploy solutions to prevent against such threatsProvide leadership in managing the firewalls and their unified threat management componentsManage and enhance the vulnerability and penetration testing program, processes and report accurate metrics that can help KUBRA support teams to reduce threatsManage the QRadar SIEM platform and lead efforts to fine tune its capabilities and enhance its scopeManage the operational components of application security i.e. SAST, DAST, and WAF technologies and processAs the Senior Manager, Cyber Security Defense Operations you will also lead the cyber incident response function 24×7 by managing the rotational on-call schedule for your team and participating in on-call duties as a second-level escalation pointSomeone who is passionate about cyber security and privacy – you have knowledge of Canadian and US privacy laws and have demonstrated experience advising business units on information security and privacy mattersA leader – you lead by example and excel in transferring your knowledge of cyber security best practices, tools and processes to your team membersSince you’ll be working with sensitive and confidential information day-in-day-out, we’re looking for someone with a high level of integrityAn excellent communicator and team player — you’re able to effectively communicate and foster strong working relationships with all levels of staff within the organization as well as external contactsSomeone with meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills that are second-to-noneSelf-motivated – you take initiative and work proactively with minimal supervisionResilient in stressful situations – you have the ability to exercise judgement when dealing with problems or issues that may arise and have the ability to plan, research, and provide creative solutions5 – 7 years of progressive experience in Information Security roles and 2 – 3 years at a Management level within a Security Operations Centre (SOC)Experience in a PCI Level 1 environmentExperience with application security – prior experience as an Information Security Architect considered an assetExperience with Palo Alto and Cisco fire walls; Symantec end-point protection agent; and QRadar, Firemon, Nessus, Metasploit, Fortify, and/or Barracuda technologiesExperience in Technology Risk Management processesCISSP certification is required.
