Job Title: Senior Manager, Capital Construction Projects – Facilities Maintenance & OperationsWork Site: This position will mostly be focused on UBC but may extend to other sites on occasion (particularly VGH)Status: Regular Full TimeReference#: 104579-tboJOB SUMMARY:Reporting to the Senior Director, Business Initiatives and Support Services (BISS), as part of VCH Facilities Maintenance and Operations (FMO) and the designated Community of Care (CoC) leadership teams, the Senior Manager, Capital Construction Projects is responsible for leading and managing the development and implementation of FMO approved major infrastructure and construction projects for Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), including project construction management, project construction budgets oversight and dispute resolution.The Senior Manager oversees project planning with CoC leadership, ensuring continuity of client care, and minimizing any impact to programs and services for the duration of each project. The Senior Manager directs numerous contractors, consultants and assigned FMO staff working on various stages of major construction projects, ensuring project plans are implemented according to approved plans, budget, timelines and client care.
