Business Overview Banc of America Leasing is the largest U.S. bank-owned equipment finance company with $59.2B in total assets and over 900 associates operational throughout the U.S., Canada, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific regions. Banc of America Leasing is wholly owned by Bank of America NA. Commercial Equipment Finance (“CEF”) provides equipment financing solutions to middle market companies and small businesses. With a solutions-oriented approach to asset financing, the group maintains the expertise to provide a continuum of financing structures tailored to meet a client’s or prospect’s economic, accounting and tax requirements. Responsibilities: Ideal candidates will be responsible for providing equipment finance and lease financing solutions to Bank of America clients, as well as new business development for Bank prospects. Key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Target middle market companies with revenues greater than $50MM who are headquartered in the eastern Canadian provinces with typical deal size range from $1MM to $50MM Work closely with the Commercial Bank teams located in Montreal and Toronto, a have strong client relationship and cold calling skills, credit and structuring knowledge, and a proven track record of meeting sales goals and objectives Strong preference for candidates with prior equipment finance and lease experience in region, but may consider candidates with a strong history of performance, and a credit background and/or client management skills within a Bank environment Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree – finance, economics, accounting, math or other business concentration Minimum of 7-10 years of leasing sales experience is preferred Industry knowledge and client relationship management Proven ability to prospect and develop new client relationships Consistent track record of meeting performance goals and objectives Strong analytical and financial analysis skills; process orientation In-depth knowledge of financial and accounting concepts, to include tax accounting Proven negotiation skills Clear and concise communication skills Able to work well within a team environment Travel: 25% Fluency in French, both verbal and written would be a strong asset Required location – Montreal or Toronto What Bank of America Merrill Lynch Offers Bank of America Merrill Lynch embodies a culture that extends from how we think, to how we behave, and to how we measure performance.
