Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with a proven track record to provide civil engineering design and technical support for the construction and modification of municipal infrastructure and to ensure projects are executed in a timely and cost-effective manner. Responsible for budget monitoring, planning, implementation and scheduling of the projects. Experience with municipal and transportation projects is essential.Key Responsibilities Project Management, coordination and direction of project team activities and direction of project staff;Provide senior leadership in the officeProvide civil engineering design and technical support for the construction and modification of municipal infrastructureComplete preliminary and detailed design of engineering packagesPrepare proposals, study reports, engineering specifications, and contract documentsReview project documents and drawings for technical quality and accuracyManage multiple tasks in a multi-disciplinary team environmentEstablish and maintain good working relationships and communication with discipline leads, project managers and clientsSupport the infrastructure, geo-materials and environmental groupsLead and mentor junior staffQuickly become familiar with Wood’s core principles of providing high-caliber professional services in a fully integrated manner across our operating business units and divisionsDevelop and promote engineering safety in design initiativesLiaison with clients, regulators, sub-consultants and sub-contractorsManage time and tasks within allotted timelines and budgetsContribution to business development and client relationship managementFlexibility to travelOther duties may be assigned to you from time to timeBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Municipal Engineering; Masters level would be considered an assetRegistration with Professional Engineers and Geoscientists Newfoundland and Labrador15 plus years of related Civil/Municipal Engineering experienceEffective communication both orally and in written formHighly self-motivated and a self-starterAbility to work in teams consisting of people with varying backgroundsProficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer programsInterdisciplinary knowledge is an assetValid driver’s licenseWood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
