As a Senior Business Analyst you will be accountable for:
Provide expertise for one or more areas of the business through analysis and understanding of business needs. Apply an advanced knowledge of programs, policies, and procedures in a business area or technical field gained through extensive experience and training.
Represent their area externally in benchmarking and best practice efforts. Provide business expertise across projects to ensure a consistent resolution of common technology issues.
Use appropriate tools and techniques to elicit and define requirements that address the most complex business processes or projects of high complexity.
Analyze requirements and create or contribute to functional designs, leveraging advanced and/or specialized technical knowledge. May help design application prototypes.
Assist with ideation, project initiation or planning for projects of high complexity.
Follow change control process to manage changes to baselined deliverables and scope for projects of high complexity.
Lead, plan and consult on information gathering sessions.
Demonstrates a conceptual and business understanding of the application, as well as related applications.
Demonstrates the ability to grasp and apply advanced analysis concepts to solving problems of a difficult nature.
Demonstrates the uppermost levels of expertise in developing and analyzing Business Requirements Definitions in challenging and complex situations.
Demonstrates mastery of facilitation in challenging situations of a difficult nature. Possesses sufficient knowledge, training, and experience to be capable of facilitating meetings, processes and operations without requiring support and instruction from others. Able to coach facilitation by setting the example, giving instruction, providing leadership, and generally raising the level of performance of others while on the job.
Demonstrates the ability to resolve difficult problems and implement solutions that may go beyond the scope of initial client or user complaint. Develops multiple potential solutions to problems. Recognizes key issues inherent in problems and addresses them in relation to their severity and importance to the organization.
Qualifications & Experience:
College degree or equivalent experience; 3+ years working in insurance, project management, or technology preferred.
Strong experience delivering as part of a Scrum agile team – in access of 6 months
Excellent User Story authoring skills
Proven Business Analyst at the senior level
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience working in a global team
