Position Description: This position is for a Security Research and Solutions specialist. The candidate will be responsible for the assessment and implementation of enterprise security solutions in a diverse and fast paced environment. The ideal candidate has a background in security or architecting systems and possesses with a deep and broad expertise in the security space in the financial services industry. Duties/Responsibilities: – Work as part of a security research team, independently, and as part of a team of programmers and engineers – Collaborate with teams across technology and data divisions to understand internal trends as they relate to data, infrastructure, and platform security – Investigate technological trends to enhance security capabilities and performance on existing computer systems/software or processes – Build scalable proof of concept models to integrate into existing operational processes and infrastructure – Write comprehensive evaluations including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for future system security enhancements – Enhance the firm’s competitive advantage with best in class security practices – Identify and define system security requirements – Design computer and cyber security architecture – Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses and security assessments – Test security solutions using industry standard analysis criteria – Recommend modifications in legal, technical, and regulatory areas that affect security – Strong understanding of current risks and threats to Cloud infrastructure and/or hybrid infrastructures – Ability to research security products and concepts, and provide recommendations – Ability to work in a high pressure environment while executing on multiple projects – Possess strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels and influence others – Demonstrates good time management, ability to prioritize tasks, and to meet deadlines across multiple projects – Candidates must have a good attention to detail and good organizational skills – A confident and articulate self-starter – A team player with a high level of commitment and enthusiasm Company Profile Morgan Stanley is a global financial services firm and a market leader in investment banking, securities, investment management and wealth management services.
