Position Summary
Security Officers are responsible for providing Excellent Guest Service including, but not limited to, ensuring the safety of employees and guests and patrolling the property. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures.
Position Overview
esponsible for maintaining the safety and compliance
of guests, associates, and
company property.
Patrols the property on foot, checking premises for suspicious occurrences to prevent theft, violence, infraction of rules, fire and safety hazards.
Anticipates potential problems and seeks ways to prevent disruption, injuries, and prohibited conduct fr
om occurring on company property
Responds to emergency situations
such as medical and bomb threats; and to alarms, such as fire and intrusion
appropriate steps to rectify problems and at the same time minimize hotel liability.
Act as a First Responder: provides first aid, performs CPR, and Heimlich maneuver when needed.
Monitors and assists in the enforcement of hotel policies and procedures ;
state and local laws .
investigations on all incidents, accid ents, and events to include: taking initial report and conducting interviews with appropriate follow-up as well as monitors
suspicious persons in the hotel.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and company policies, practices,
and procedures.
Qualifications and Physical/Mental Requirements
Six (6) months of prior experience preferred.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills,
with demonstrated ability to investigate incidents, interview witnesses
and write
factual reports.
Knowledge of
first aid
and familiarity with federal, state and local laws pertaining to law enforcement is a plus.
Be physically able
to restrain unruly and combative guests.
Physical ability to access all areas of the property must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, able to push and/or pull 200 pounds.
Stand or walk for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to run/respond quickly in emergency situations.
Bend from t he waist, crouch, stretch, kneel, climb, twist and crawl without restrictions.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
aintain physical stamina, proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, associates, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.

Must be 21 years of age.
