The SE will take ownership of the prime technical relationship with our pre-sales customers and channel partners to help close deals by proactively managing and delivering technical information to our customers and channel partners either onsite, online, and via telephoneProvide Proof of Concept service to pre-sales customers and help clients with planning and implementation of Trend Micro productsProvide support and training to the channel partner network and respond to technical requests from channel partnersWork in a fast-pace environment under minimal supervisionWill provide software and network troubleshooting in complex customer environmentsMaintain and expand working knowledge of current and beta productsShare best practices with other SEs to enhance quality of service and efficiencyProvide product training and mentoring when requiredContribute to building the SE Readiness Program and develop subject matter expertise in assigned products and solutionsWilling to travel regionally for customers facing activities, as well as marketing and user group eventsChannel feature requests to Product Management to enhance Trend Micro productsParticipate in alliance projects including building vendors’ and customers’ relationshipsBS degree or combination of: education and pre-sales experience in Security Software and Systems.Sales Engineering and/or professional services experience preferredExperience working with various Microsoft software and systemsExperience with various content security software and systems preferredSolid multi-tasking, troubleshooting and problem resolution abilitiesSelf-starter and quick learner with desire to continually learn new tools and technologiesStrong verbal and written communication, customer service, account management and negotiation skills, with the ability to interface with a diverse set of clients including administrators and C-level executivesDesired Skills and Experience:AWSKnowledge of MS Windows and Active DirectoryKnowledge of MS Exchange, IIS and SQL is a plusKnowledge of Anti-malware, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Data Loss Protection, Endpoint Encryption, File Integrity Monitoring, Email and Web Gateway Security, Email Encryption, SysLog, SIEM productsExperience with VMware vCenter and VDINetwork infrastructure experience (Routing, switching, edge firewalls, load balancing)One or more of below certifications or training is desired:VCP – VMware Certified ProfessionalCCNA – Cisco Certified Network AssociateCISSP – Certified Information Systems Security ProfessionalMCP – Microsoft Certified ProfessionalMCSE – Microsoft Certified Solutions ExpertLinux/Solaris/UNIX System AdministrationCLP – Certified Lotus ProfessionalAWS/Cloud CertificationTrend Micro welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
