In this role, you will be assigned specific accounts within the region, and you”ll build long-lasting relationships and expand our business. You will oversee all aspects of sales, including price negotiations, contract development, and order fulfillment. As a Sales Account Manager, you”ll gain understanding of customer business and technology environments and suggest solutions from the Red Hat portfolio to provide competitive advantage. We”ll need you to collaborate with partner sales and services organizations as well as IT and business executives to ensure the delivery and sales of Red Hat”s solutions.Sell Red Hat solutions and services within your assigned territoryCreate strategic and tactical plans for new business development and guide the extended sales team to maximize revenue and growth; meet performance and sales goalsCall on prospective customers, providing technical and administrative product information, demonstrations, and price quotesForecast and close sales in line with company goalsUnderstand customers” business and technology product needs and communicate them to executives10 years of account management or sales experience with a demonstrated track record of success, preferably in the software or IT industry focused on Oil and Gas5+ years of selling software solutions into the Oil and Gas vertical in CalgaryBachelor”s degree or equivalent preferably in business, marketing, or a technical disciplineUnderstanding of complete sales cycle management from prospecting to closingSolutions sales mentality in an environment with multiple solutions and servicesAbility to work as part of a team, as well as on your own and to make decisionsKnowledge of UNIX or Linux systems; passion for open source technologyExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishRed Hat is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.
