The Revenue Manager must supervise the reservation process, coordinating activities of reservation staff, including creating and monitoring rate plans, and forecast and analyze reports. The primary responsibility of the Revenue Manager is to ensure the courteous and efficient handling of all reservations with maximum occupancy and revenue as the key outcomes; must be able to analyze reports and provide short and long term forecasting.
Uses reservations systems effectively to determine, implement, and control accurate selling strategies.Collects and provides statistics and other relevant information to assist with pricing decisions. Analyzes the hotel’s market potential accurately and also the competition. Identifies and evaluates effectively current and past business trends and monitors room budgets and forecasts and takes corrective action when necessary.
