Restaurant Manager Reporting to the General Manager, Q at the Empress, this position will oversee the operation of the hotel’s newest restaurant and lounges. The hotel completed an extensive renovation in 2017, which included the re-launch of a 94 seat restaurant with a 70-seat bar and94 seat patio, as well the 140 seat Lobby Lounge, home of our world famous “Tea at the Empress.” Your leadership ability infused with your passion for all things F&B will lead you to provide the highest quality service, bringing the overall concept to life and placing our new restaurants and lounges on the map as the “Hottest Places in Town”. Summary of Responsibilities: Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Working closely with the General Manager, Q at the Empress to e xecute the smooth and flawless operation of both the Front and Heart of House (inclusive of restaurant and kitchen) Ensuring optimal performance by being a presence on the floor to support and lead the team to deliver service excellence Drive revenue and profit through the development and implement ation of strategies, practices and promotions while in keeping with the overall concept Handle guest concerns and react quickly and professionally To assist in the recruitment and training of F&B Colleagues Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs Conduct regularly scheduled departmental meetings Maximize revenues by communicating regularly with the Food and Beverage teams to implement agreed upon strategies, practices and promotions Have full knowledge of all Outlet menus Manage the departmental budget Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage Other duties as assigned Restaurant Manager Reporting to the General Manager, Q at the Empress, this position will oversee the operation of the hotel’s newest restaurant and lounges.
