Unifying deep sector expertise with cloud-based customer insights communities, we take a results-focused, consultative approach to helping clients better understand what motivates their customers and influences their markets, so they can act decisively and win.RESEARCH MANAGERWe are looking for a Research Manager to join our growing Media & Entertainment team in either New York, Los Angeles or Vancouver. The position will be responsible for helping manage all stages of the market research project cycle including proposals, research design, operational execution, analysis and reporting, as well as nurturing and developing strategic client relationships.Research areas include content testing and series maintenance, awareness tracking, landscape studies, ad sales studies, brand health, concept and demand testing for networks, studios, and content providers.The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 3-5 years related of experience, preferably with a market research supplier or in the research department at a media company. You will have had exposure to a variety of quantitative and qualitative methodologies including questionnaire design, analysis, and project management. You are known for your attention to detail, the ability to see the story in the numbers, and for superior communication and writing skills. You are an out-of-the box thinker that doesn’t stand for mediocrity or status quo, and possess a drive for excellence. Experience with project management and an ability to work with internal operational teams to coordinate and execute research would be key assets.Responsibilities:Draft agendas and lead regular client meetings.Manage multiple projects simultaneously.Use Vision Critical’s Sparq platform to program surveys, monitor fielding, and run data tables.Proof programmed surveys, written reports, and other deliverables as needed.Analyze and report on research results, including writing topline findings, Powerpoint decks, and full presentations.Provide day-to-day contact for our insight community customers and set them up to effectively use the platform, educating them on the best practices of engaging with their customers and supporting their ongoing needs in gathering customer intelligence.The ideal candidate will have:Post-secondary educational degreeAn aspiration to be a strategic market researcher; you have had exposure to both quantitative and qualitative methodologies including questionnaire design, analysis, and project management.An innate ability to find the story in the numbers, and to sift through qualitative data to extract nuggets and insights.A fundamental understanding of technology and social media, as well as online market research methodologies including online insight communities.Driven self-starter with deep intellect and the ability to execute.The ability to influence others, manage pressure, and possess a high degree of tenacity.A passion for unlocking the power of consumer insights to help drive agile decision making.Strong analytical & writing skills and strict attention to detail.Excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a team environment as well as independentlyProficient with Microsoft Office (PPT, Word, Excel) including skills for the formatting and creative visual display of informationNext stepsIf this sounds like the perfect opportunity for you we invite you to apply online now.
