Job Description
We’re looking for outgoing, professional, guest service driven individuals with cash handling experience that want to further their career as a Relief Cage Supervisor (Secondary Code). Your primary job code will be Cashier.
In this dual coded role you will be responsible for performing Cashier duties while providing Supervisory coverage as needed based on operational needs.
You will be responsible for verifying, documenting, removing and reconciling counts/assets and monitoring the day-to-day activities of the cage team while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. In addition you will also ensure adherence to all policies and procedures.
This position requires flexibility for scheduling including early mornings, holidays, and weekend shifts.
Relief Cage Supervisor Duties & Responsibilities:
Monitoring the Cage team; providing input for team member performance evaluations and objectives;
Verifying or completing large transactions;
Documenting and reconciling cash and cash equivalents; providing reports;
Participating in Cage corporate training; assisting in conducting site training;
Monitoring and reporting all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities;
Responding to, resolving or escalating Cage issues;
Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments;
Building strong working relationships with our internal and external guests;
Complying with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations;
Performing other duties as assigned or directed.
Cashier Duties & Responsibilities include:
Handling cash transactions including but not limited to foreign currency exchange, traveler’s cheques, short pays, over payments, cash counts, coins and bills; Redeeming value chips and gaming tickets for cash; Selling vouchers and value chips as required;
Monitoring and reporting all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities;
Verifying and processing machine fills, machine jackpots, cancelled credits, as well as table fills and credits;
Issuing opening floats to Slot Attendants; reconciling closing floats;
Communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments;
Performing other duties as assigned or directed.
1 year experience in high volume cash handling;
Previous supervisory experience required;
6 months experience as a Casino Cashier or Count Team Member with experience on hard and soft count considered an asset;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Computer literacy in MS Office;
Possess a high level of honesty and integrity;
Excellent multi-tasking skills;
Understanding of yourself as well as others when communicating with team members and guests;
A passion for providing Unrivaled Personal Service to our internal and external guests;
The ability to obtain & maintain a criminal record check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB).
