MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Positioning the firm for success, our Marketing team supports the growth, business-generating efforts and goals of MNP. We develop and deliver creative and strategic programs that translate the firm’s objectives into market-appropriate media, messages and methodologies. We build and protect our brand in new and existing markets, as well as create and sustain market advantage in all service line, industry and specialty groups. Performance ExpectationsWork with the Regional Managing Partner (RMP), service line and client group leaders within the region to understand their business objectives and translate these into marketing strategies, plans and activities which drive our brand awareness and positioning and create sales opportunities for our practitionersAdhere to firm processes and best practices, including the use of consistent marketing and budget templatesObtain plan approval, develop and lead the implementation of all office, client group and service-specific marketing strategies, programs and activities for the region in order to support existing client retention, targeted pursuit plans and referral mapping Develop creative campaign briefs and lead concept developmentMeasure, understand and report on the impact of marketing activities; analyze reporting information and make recommendations / adjustments to plans and programs where necessaryManage and monitor Marketing budgets; analyze variances between planned and actual spend and recommend correct actions, as necessaryIdentify, negotiate and manage strategic sponsorships of all sizesOrganize client prospect programs in conjunction with internal resources and internal marketing-related initiatives Maintain brand and positioning with MNP properties and utilize marketing materials and collateral including promotional items, brochures and tradeshow equipmentUnderstand vendor arrangements/structures and develop and maintain those relationshipsBuild strategic alliances and foster marketing relationships with key stakeholders in the external marketplace including with local influencers, media and the communityDevelop strong relationships with key stakeholders within the region Gather and interpret insights and assess the competitive environment, MNP market share and brand positioningMaintain awareness of changes to regional marketplace, study economic indicators in the region and identify current and future market and industry trendsProvide overall direction and set expectations for regional marketing teamDevelop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industryRaise awareness of MNP through discussions at community events including client and company sponsored functionsNetwork in the local business community and consider business development opportunitiesContribute to the development of new ideas and approaches in order to improve work processes Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and addressing performance issues promptlyPromote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellnessConduct formal, written annual performance reviewsCredentialsCompletion of a post-secondary degree in MarketingMinimum of five (5) years of experience in a marketing management capacity and a demonstrated understanding of the entire marketing process Experience working in a professional services environment or marketing agency environment considered an assetUnderstanding and experience working in the local marketplace is an assetUnderstanding of how to build and reinforce effective working relationships within and across teams and with key stakeholdersStrong Project Management skillsPossess strong presentation and reporting skills Possess business development skills and knowledgeStrong computer literacy including effective working skills of Database Marketing Software and Microsoft Word, Excel and
