Regional Grain Marketing Leader – Saskatchewan

Cargill’s Agricultural Supply Chain – North America (CASC NA) connects agricultural producers to food, feed and industrial customers through a seamless supply chain. We help our customers compete in the global market and efficiently deliver products from origins to destinations through our marketing, sourcing, originating, storing, trading, consulting and processing of grain, oilseeds and crop inputs products and solutions. CASC NA business reaches across Canada, United States & Mexico with an expansive asset footprint including over 200 grain elevators, export/import facilities, oilseed crush plants, biodiesel facilities, and farm service centers. Reporting to the Regional Manager, as a member of the Regional Leadership Team (RLT) you are accountable for the success and profitability of the Grain Marketing Services (GMS) product line within the region. You will work with Farm Service Groups (FSGs), the RLT, Regional Grain Marketing Managers in other regions, and the National Grain Marketing Manager to build and execute strategic GMS growth plans. You will have direct supervision of the Grain Marketing Advisors (GMAs) and provide tools and training to them to deliver GMS to farm customers. Additionally through coaching and providing grain marketing and risk management technical support to the rest of the sales and consulting teams, you will increase the FSG team’s ability to sell, deliver and profitably grow the GMS product line. You will work with the Sales Managers and Operations Manager in each FSG to ensure Agronomic and GMAs and consulting services are an integral part of FSG activities. This role can be housed in any of our Saskatchewan based facilities, with recognition that regular travel throughout the region will be expected. Principal Accountabilities: 40% Lead the strategic direction and commercial management of Grain Marketing Services (GMS) for the region by Participating in the development of the national GMS strategy, and working with the RLT to develop tactics to be implemented in the region Aligning with the Sales Manager in each FSG to profitably grow and achieve the financial targets of GMS Continuing to evaluate and identify farm customer needs Communicating grain marketing-related information with all RLT members as well as peer group in other regions Ensuring a high level of connectivity and alignment amongst the functional teams in the region through the development of a clear understanding of customer needs and regional GMS team objectives, and ensuring that the GMS team is aware of and supporting the goals of the other functions 40% Provide leadership coaching and technical support to the Grain Marketing Advisors including Ensuring the GMAs are technically equipped to deliver GMSs and risk management products while continually meeting customer expectations Ensuring the GMAs are an integral part of their respective FSG including; striving towards the overall FSG goals, executing flawlessly on the customer focus fundamentals and participating in FSG team meetings and events Maintaining a brand integrity and improve customer retention by ensuring consistent processes and program deliverables are executed in order to continually meet customer expectations 20% Provide leadership and support to the FSG teams including Ensuring the FSG teams are supported by GMAs with grain marketing and risk management knowledge to grow the GMS business Providing coaching to the GMAs and FSG teams on how to sell GMSs by discovering customer needs Holding grain marketing training sessions for the sales teams, FSGs and RLT Communicating GMS updates and share best practices across FSG teams, ensuring tools and resources are available Cargill’s Agricultural Supply Chain – North America (CASC NA) connects agricultural producers to food, feed and industrial customers through a seamless supply chain.
