MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. We deliver on the strategic needs of service lines, industry and specialty groups, and operations at all levels throughout the firm. Our specialists develop, enable and support initiatives that allow MNP to deliver client service, collaborate, communicate and operate reliably and efficiently.Performance ExpectationsDeveloping QA strategies and standards for MNP development team in the Calgary IT departmentDefining internal QA processes to an appropriate level to mitigate technological, process and control risks Planning, documenting and executing QA test plansPerforming QA on various phases of the software development life cycle including requirements analysis and solution designWriting QA test scenarios that have clarity and are transferrableEnsuring all QA activities are completed and signed off in the expected timeframe prior to deployment of solutions and changesAnalyzing and determining potential outputs and expected outcomes for every test scenario Setting up and configuring tools and environments for testingPreparing and presenting reports for management review and sign-offParticipating in the continuous improvement of test processes and methodologiesStaying up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategiesDeveloping a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, business and industryContributing to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processesParticipating in additional activities supporting the firm’s goalsPlanning and coordination of UAT activitiesUI/UX experienceDeveloping logical test plansCredentialsPossess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Technology or related program; relevant experience will also be consideredMinimum five (5) years of related work experienceAbility to communicate effectively to all levels of the organizationDemonstrated ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically and professionally at all timesStrong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointExperience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test casesExperience with coordinating or managing UATHands-on experience with automated testing toolsCore Competencies and Personal CharacteristicsIntegrity – professional whose honesty, integrity, confidentiality and high ethical standards contributes to effective leadership and optimal business relationshipsEnergy – displays enthusiasm, optimism, drive and passion while maintaining a high level of productivity and a balanced lifestyleDiversity – understands the importance of different backgrounds, perspectives and experiences and is respectful of individual differencesCommunication – effectively expresses ideas and conveys information in business writing, conversations and interactions with othersClient Service Excellence – understands the importance of quality client service by being courteous, responding to client requests in a timely manner and monitoring satisfactionTeamwork & Relationship Development – works collaboratively with team members in order to achieve a common goal and develops, maintains and strengthens relationships with others, both inside and outside the FirmAccountability – takes responsibility for one’s own performance by setting clear goals and tracking progress against those goals; is highly organized and uses personal judgement and decision makingFlexibility – effectively manages multiple assignments, adapts to changing priorities and is able to work independently or as part of a teamDecisiveness – makes difficult decisions in a timely mannerAccuracy – pays close attention to detail and ensures work and information are complete and thoroughInitiative – highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervisionMNP encourages a balanced lifestyle and offers benefits that suit the way our team members work and play!
