Position Description: This role is to provide local leadership for a growing team in Montreal and North America. The team manages test environmental issues, queries and requests from a broad base of users including Development and Operations teams who require in depth investigation of issues discovered while testing. Responsibility for management of general stability of different QA/test environments is required. The team enables development and test teams to focus solely on their primary purpose without the interference of support responsibilities. QA Environment Support ensures that testers keep testing by proactively managing user issues and environment needs. These efforts enable the business to deliver new features and business optimally. Responsibilities: – Ensure technical point of contact for application-specific operational or service-related technology issues; – Ensure the stability of business critical multi-tiered application processes and infrastructure; – Ensure appropriate implementation of monitoring & alerting tools & processes for early / pro-active detection of system; – Keep ahead of technology advancements (internal and external) in order to make recommendations for improvement in the application; – Manage day-to-day workload and operations of offshore L2 support vendor and ensure appropriate accountability and workload uptake; – Ensure the appropriate communications and troubleshooting steps have been undertaken while keeping in mind the time criticality of a particular issue; – Perform root cause analyses; – Investigate and resolve data quality issues; – Database, hardware and application alerts. – Application connectivity alerts. – User specific application queries. – User specific bug investigation and analysis. – User data, entitlements and capacity issues. – General environment maintenance.
