Element has an opportunity for a Purchasing Specialistfor working directly with business stakeholders and other team members develop & execute sourcing strategies that deliver continuous cost, performance and process improvement.Execute sourcing projects to include; strategy development, preparation of RFP’s, supplier negotiations, business case recommendations, project management and contract executionStrong analytical skills, with advanced usage of Excel, and familiar with E Sourcing toolsWorking collaboratively with business stakeholders and team members design and implement a productivity project pipeline process to identify cost and process improvements within the direct materials categoryManage and measure supplier performance against contract, manage supplier performance issues, one off and systemicPerform industry benchmarking and total cost of ownership analysis to identify continuous cost & process improvementsBachelors degree in Business or equivalent experienceProfessional Qualifications CPSM, CIPS, 6Sigma preferred3-5 years of sourcing experience with a large industrial manufacturing companyAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and proportionsProficient with ERP / ORACLE solutionsProficient in Excel and PowerPointResults orientated, excellent analytical, process and problem solving skillsTeam player with initiative and a positive attitudeExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organizationElement is the best and most trusted testing partner in the world providing high value, critical services to the Aerospace, Transportation, Oil & Gas, Fire & Building Products and Infrastructure & Environmental sectors, where failure is not an option.Our purpose is a simple one.
